Dizzy Men

She wore bright yellow
dressing her shortened hair
gaily ribboned
catching his glance while skipping in and out
of the rose beds.

In her childhood world
of knowing
she could cause
with dimpled smile
his arms to rise
swing her round
such breathless spinning.

Memories drawn from the
bottom of a whisky glass.
