Hospital Streets Have you noticed the latest trend? All the corridors in hospitals have street names now. Suggestion 1: The NHS to be awarded a grant to paint the walls with the odd terraced house Cheered by a window box planted with geraniums. I have trekked miles down these streets, or - to be accurate (one learns the power of accuracy through filling in endless DWP forms)-I have been pushed for miles between the dirty lemon walls. Suggestion 2 : seeing as we are now a ‘patient centred’ NHS, the creation of a fragmentation terminal. It would be so much easier to send the heart and lungs down one street, the brain down another and all the various limbs that tremble and hurt down the side roads. |
